I wouldn't plan on it. I could be wrong, but with them extending it an hour just so server comes up the moment after tome reset, I think they'll be bringing the servers online on the dot if it isn't extended further.

Until now they opened the servers early if they could, But this time they even extended the maintenance so it wont allow people to grab extra Poetics. Even if they finished the maintenance 5 hours early the servers wont open until the weekly reset has passed.

In regards to the question of the patch notes already being full:
I do not know Japanese, but it seems a translated version Foxclon's apology
on the JP forums states that there is more to the patch notes.

jesus..... almost 3 months to do preliminary/full patch notes properly and they still fail at it...

This is what I don't get, imo I think it is better to show materials before than after. At least if you show the materials needed before a maintenance the market has a chance to recover by the time the patch hits. Sure people will buy out items right away, and when it's done after a patch the price of said items becomes even greater because people don't have extra resources of said items.

When the information is known beforehand though, yes people will still buy out, but the competition can be a bit more fair because the advantage is no longer given to the person who can log on first after patch but rather who can continue to supply the market with the new demand.

Hm, I seem to remember the full patch notes not being posted until the update actually happens (as in, we can play it).

Nope, it happens usually just before/during the actual update release.

Yup. Most times the full notes aren't available until after the servers are back up. Not sure where people are getting 12 hours before from.

edit. Though now that I think about it that may have only been the patches early in 2.0. I think the last few big patch the notes have been released a few hours before going live. SE seems concerned with people getting an advantage on the market if they have too much info. So the later the notes are released the less time there is to go over them and prepare your plan to take over the market board.

Oh, ya know. I always forget that they changed the weekly reset time some time back. I really wish they'd just make the weekly and daily reset at the same time like it used to. The fact that they don't is kind of confusing sometimes.

I'm never home when the Weekly reset happens so It's easy to forget. I'm always still at work at that time. Though I am always home and usually playing when the daily reset occurs every morning.

I totally forgot the weekly reset was much earlier in the morning, and instead was thinking that it happened with the daily reset so at that completion time wouldn't change things if that was the case.
