Other than making them rare, ANet had nothing to do with the prices of those dyes, those were set by the players.

okay, exchange nutkin + bluebird for a gw2 like white + black dye and the community will be fine about it?
vanity vs vanity?
anyway, I only compare the rates and not the items themself
Yeah... doesn't look anything like a white colour. Your argument is fully justified here. Kind of a downer, especially since it seems to work perfectly fine on most other equipment.
Seen a visual comparison like this a while ago in the suggestion section, and I fully agree op
:)
SE if you're listening and considering this please give them matt white as an OPTION, if you get rid of the metallic effect on dyed Dragoon AF completely I will be a very sad panda. ; ;
Yes yes yes, this is exactly what I was griping about when the augments first came out because that "snow white" was BS. When I saw they were giving us "pure white" I squeed... until I previewed it. STILL NOT WHITE. C'mon guys, why is it every frigging AF set and metal armor in the game get to be white, except the dragoon?
My thoughts exactly! after seeing the dark silver of snow white I was very happy when I learned about pure white, then lo and behold! light silver... -.-
I don't understand the logic behind this when pretty much every other gear set in white is... you know... actually white!
