The game is probably filled with "pop"-culture references. I know there's a Star Wars reference in the Gridania storyline.

Half of FFXII is a Star Wars reference.

I don't watch the English versions very much, so I didn't catch that one.

There's a lot of funny references in the quest material.

For Japanese user out there, is that scene sounds alike in Japanese?

I thought it was funny but you know three people say its not funny and they must be experts on comedy right? I hate people this game just makes me realize it more and more.

I was always a fan of the THM storyline, there is a scene where an NPC recites a few lines from the Modest Mouse song "Ocean Breathes Salty." This was before Yoshi took over too lol.

I dig pop culture references, makes it a bit more lighthearted.
