Checked this with friend. I can perfectly see his name on his crafts. But on some other people it doesn't. (which might be dishonest players)
On the other hand, there is someone who is very active in the marketboards right now, putting sales up and undercutting with the names not attached, however there is a "blank" there. There's definitely either a bug or stuff going on O____O

btw, if you buy an item on a server and transfer to another it wont show the crafter names anymore
I'm with making items on MB to have ????? name as when received in an in-game message which will be Revealed when item is bought.
Having the option to Hide/Show signatures has its Good & Bad.
Good: show that you crafted this item/gear/secondary mats. (especially when gifted)
Bad: Receive a /tell to remove item/increase price, or to lower the price/give it away for free (because I'm on your friend's list).
I don't want to sound mean, but as a crafter I want to max my profit, I'd prefer to hide my signature so I won't be asked to sell cheaper/fraction of what I can gain on MB, especially when using higher mats which are relatively rare/expensive.
I read that in previous patches if you send items via Moogle Delivery, the crafter's name will disappear (leaving a blank space), but not removing it as if it was Game-Generated. It was claimed it was fixed, but I'm not certain if this bug works anymore.
I get a lot of priave trades from my name being shown, but also get a lot of pretty much time wasting tells lol ^^
Overall It helps more than it hinders I find :)
ive come to know a lot of the top crafters names via tags on my server and even friended some, traded with them (price fixed cough).
personally I thought there was an option like I said in my previous post, but then I don't care that my name is there, I've never had anyone really complain at me barring one time which I calmly explained that his price was retarded high and nobody was buying it anyways hence the massive undercut.
I know my name is recognised by other crafters whom I don't know, as some friends have mentioned it but so long as you deal with people fairly I don't think anyone will really go out of there way to harass a crafter.
A bug of this type definitely still exists. I commonly see new 4-star gear with no name attached.
