Exactly. That and to get guild marks.

Actually thats quite false. I played ffxi for seven years, and had seven, seventy fives all legit. (Legit: No astral burns) I solo'd BLM 1-75 BST 1-75 BLU (mostly)1-70 and SMN. Granted it took me longer, but I did. After ffxi introduced zerg parties (I hate/dislike games with this motto) and nubs getting 75 in less then a week and having no idea how to play due to abusing a broken mechanic (much like ffxiv's old leve's) I quit. Abysea/Astral Burns imo were ffxi's downfall. Hard!
On Topic, I love small group grinding parties. Leves and Behest although a option and should remain that way, are terribly boring.
Yea I'm very interested in the behest changes. Last night was the first time I tried finding a group for grinding and it only took 15 minutes. Not sure if it will be that way every night so behests may become a decent alternative. Just gotten back into the game and trying to figure everything out again lol.
I'm the only one that think 32 to 33.5 in 2-2.5 hours is excessive? I can understand that in rank 45+ but @30? I hope you were doing it wrong or something because if that's correct I just lost my faith :(
I don't want to rank up too fast nor too slow but this seems that for me.
Pretty much perfect.Quote:

Soloing should be 3-4h, partying half that. Otherwise there's no point.
Considering that's around... 70k SP or so, that sounds about right.
Levelling is at a much better pace now than it used to be.
I can't wait to see the SP adjustments come monday :p
I wasn't leading the grind party but we were killing constantly, not dieing, and the only downtime was traveling. I guess it could be higher at other camps with less traveling but I didn't see any obvious mistakes. Although, i'm in no position to judge.
Hell grinding parties were awesome before the patch.
