Yeah, in Xande's case the most you can push is maybe an extra couple percent because he's busy performing some other action; unless you could burn off 33% of his HPin about 5-10 seconds you wouldn't be able to phase skip.

if your dps is really good though, you can actually skip even the 3 robots.
