PLD Novus DEX Stat

Safe choice : Parry and Acc
Max Threat choice : DET and CRIT
Cheapskate choice : SKS and Acc

Why not just take the safe route with Parry and play around with your jewelry?

^ this is what I did. Went full Parry and then Acc on my Sword and Shield. If I need extra threat, which you don't really have to worry about to begin with, then switch out a VIT acc for STR one. 1 or 2 18 STR acc's will out weigh any crit/det combo you put on the Novus. Not to mention on most servers right now, crit and det materia are super expensive.

Actually, exactly one 18 STR accessory will match 44 crit and 31 det almost exactly. To reference how little that is compared to the majesty that is Weapon Damage, the WD on a Curtana Novus is equivalent to 445 STR.

Acc/det is the safe route

Dex actually scales way worse than parry and tanks should never use this stat. :P
Parry is a really bad stat. In tests I have done, it does not scale at .075%. it scales quite a bit less.
Go MAN MODE. Crit and Det ;)

I'm tempted to re-test DEX now. I remember it being about a 4% increase to Block Rate from the 45 DEX using Gryphonskin.

Crit and DET? Nah, spec STR and use all DPS accessories. :p
