True. But I personally find it a lot simpler to just pop my headset on from PS that doesn't get interrupted everytime a phone call or text comes through.

It's like people assume everyone plays on a PC and or have a smart phone available.

This is from a wider perspective, we all want to play this game 100%, but then the game's not 100% because some groups out there can't do a raid without VC, therefore if you don't have it you're left out.

It's an inconvenience and if VC is so essential in this game it's almost retarded they don't add it.

On PC that are free to use; razor comms, dolby Axon, raidcall, Gamevox, these require no purchase and just need a registration. TS can be used for free, but someone needs to set up a local server themselves, however, the server is only active is said person has their computer on and TS running, same with vent and mumble on top of this and the quality is also subjected to their line.

For the PS3 and PS4, blame sony, its something I dont get with sony, if they let these software which I know all of the mentioned above software have a PS4/XB1 ready, just needs the go ahead from sony and MS to let them release it, this in turn will increase sales of stuff like headsets as it gives people on the consoles a reason to buy those very headsets and adaptors.

Bolded and underlined the little detail that you seem to be stuck on. Not everyone requires that, so seek out and play with people who are ok with you not being on voice chat.

I'd rather not see this added. I think this would cause more people to insist on voice chat being used, and voice chat is something I'm really not comfortable with and only use with friends or when I really, really "have" to.

And as others have mentioned, there are several free options to use voice chat, so even if I were a supporter of voice chat in general, I wouldn't consider it necessary or even useful to implement it.

Then people would know I was really a guy.

Shhhh!!!! Though I don't think I'm the only one.

I all honesty though I was a little surprised at first that the game didn't have chat. Being on the PS all games I have played did, this is the first that didn't. First time I played it I even turned on my mic, and was wondering why I couldn't hear anyone. I guess they have their reasons. Ever play a COD game? But no big deal, I have a keyboard and that works just fine.

Edit: Why does my picture change every time I make a post it seems?

This would be perfect for cross platform communication and honestly this game needs it with all these KO mechanics.

It frequently updates to what your character currently looks like. If you changed classes in the game, it'll show you in that class' gear.
