Do you regret your name choice?

Not really a regret for XIV, but same thing happened with me in XI, where I chose a name with certain implications that I didn't realize til after I'd already leveled enough that I didn't want to just start over. So I know the feeling. xD

I have 2 regrets:

1) First, I didn't even think for a moment I'd meet all my FFXI friends again. It was an unexpected but welcomed experience. However, my name has nothing to do with my FFXI name, and all my friends keep calling me by my FFXI name, even on vent. So it gets kinda confusing for others.

2) I kinda want to try a Femroe some time, but my name really doesn't feet a female character. Should have gone for something more gender-neutral, I guess :/

I don't necessarily regret my name choice, I'm sure I'm not the only person who would like to change it to something more lore-friendly.

I spent quite a bit of time in character creator when I first played (I'm probably not the only one) and by the time I got to the end and the name prompt appeared, I was like 'crap, I need a name.' So in the absence of official naming conventions for my race, I kinda just threw together two of my more common internet pseudonyms (the process took about 30 seconds total) and went on my way. After a few months playing (and discovering the lore section of the forums) I thought 'huh. I'd really like X name now that I've thought about it.'

So basically two reasons: to change to something lore-friendly and to rectify bad name choices made in the heat of the moment.

Name: Marcella Cat

... I started the game cause my friends wanted me to be their tank and convinced me to give it a try after we all left gw2.

They were all kitty people with the name Cat, I liked the kitty people enuff to roll with it. So Marcella Cat ... lil warrior Cat ... makes perfect sense!!

But now I changed my Race cause like 80% of the players I see are kitty people and Roe are AWESOME!! Also, I found that our server is kinda full oh ass holes so now I want to go to a RP server. And on top of that ... I want this character to be named Bayonetta Beretta if the gun class isn't DPS :/

After doing the quests for the U, I started regretting not getting to know the lore beforehand (despite how excited I was for ARR) enough to put an apostrophe after the C, but I got over it. Mostly. >_>

I google your name I don't see anything wrong with fleetflight. Its about planes from what I seen

I made a mistake on my name, but I've since accepted it, and now I like it.

I meant to make my name Lynx Wildrunner, but in my rush to play and catch up to friends, I put it as Lyxn. I'm happy with it now. Goes pretty well with all races.

Nope. Have and will always be a Nep Nep. x3 There's alot of well known players who also seem to have this name also. xD At least in my data center. People confuse me for them alot. XD
