what do you think the Ninja relic weapon will be?

oh, that's what it is called? lol.

Yeah, it looks kinda weird though I mean, that size on a short blade. It looks balance and all on the normal size katana however.

i'm more worried about the glows effect, i means ninja are....sneaky and try to conceal themself... if the glows effect is something too important it will be like try to sneak up on someone with a sign saying that we are there, magic and all that good... but i do hope the effect to be more dark than light.

It'll have glow effects like everything else. When it comes to weapons in an MMO, practicality is typically not present unless the MMO design is to generally not have either A) Outrageous designs or B)Abundant Glow Effects.

We have both in FFXIV, so.. keep holding your breath.

Now, maybe, perhaps if they made it have a darkness glow effect. I could see that being pretty awesome. I guess we'll see.

Something like a black haze/fog/aura (or dark purple).

This is Final Fantasy, there must be glows and flashy animations, even for ninja.

I'm more interested in what the i100 pvp armor will be.

we already did seen that they have flashy animation, maybe we can avoid to get weapon that glows enough for lights the whole area around us.

As for the name of the weapon, given the tread of current Relic weapons not being Relic/etc weapons in XI, I'd rule out Kikoku. I'd go with something more obscure, like Amanojaku (which is closer to Gae Bolg in terms of rarity).

The guard is also important when you wield a stabbing weapon underhand, to prevent the hand from sliding onto your own blade, when you put a lot of force into it. So not as uncommon for a short dagger to have a big guard actually.
Its what seperates a real dagger from a kitchen knive.
