WHat new healer spell you want to see in the expansion?

I honestly like all my healing tools and can't think of something that I'd want except Aeroga/Aero III as an AoE DoT, because Blizzaga is too weak and Holy takes too much MP, we have no middle ground spell :/

But that's it really. Dispel, Blind, they sound good on paper but I fear they'd end up being useless. Maybe a Water II with Slow effect.

I could see both of those as traits. Especially an improved Raise.

For WHM, the full party Stoneskin would be amazing. Aero III, Stone III. Would like a few cool new water based attack spells. Would love another holy power based attack. Regen II. A more powerful raise where you have more HP and MP/TP back (kind of like the PVP skill).

By your logic, SMN should also get a healing pet, or maybe some Sacred Soil? How about Lustrates? Also, SCH has 90% of everything SMN has lol You don't have a tank fairy because it was replaced by a more logical party buffing fairy.

for WHM, hmm..
maybe a skill that turns one of your spells into Aoe? of course with limitations.
Aoe Regen/Skin/Aero(II)/Stone(II)/Repose.
Of course some moves (Benediction/Raise/Fluid Aura..) would be quite broken but well.
As for SCH..
I would like to see another pet but they already got healer/buffer one so.. I guess mostly scholars would benefit from a more potent aoe heal for stuff such as Titan's Stomps. Havent done much as scholar so that just got into mind first. Maybe something to spend Aetherflow stacks on.

Most of the abilities in this thread would break DPS (e.g. Aero III or more AoE abilities) and put healers near or close to top DPS. Healer's offensive capabilities are already at or near their limit, unless DPS and Tanks are equally boosted in their output. Quite frankly, Cleric Stance is already way too busy for healers, and don't need to add another spell to add to the list, if all it does it do a little bit extra damage (I'm looking at you, Thunder)

Even giving us things like Cure IV, Adlo II, Succor II are ultimately meaningless if they don't have some wildly unusual effect. It just means that enemies will deal more damage to scale with our bigger heals. Big whoop --- who cares?

Need to stop thinking about channeled abilities and think more about cooldowns and buffs. Many other MMOs have a plethora of interesting single-target or raid-wide buffs that add an element on strategy and tactics to every encounter.

Cooldowns or buffs that (for single-use or a limited duration):

• Restore a target's MP or TP
• Allow you to use HP or TP instead of MP for spells
• Refresh a target's cooldowns
• Boosts the target's or raid's damage for double the cost in TP or HP
• Lowers the target or AoE's enmity

Or let us cross-class BRD abilities:
Raging strikes
Hawkeye
Quelling strikes

We can even go the way of FFXI:

• Reraise
• Parsimony/Penury (halve the cost of your next spell)
• Sacrifice (transfers a debuff from your party member to yourself)
• Accession/Manifestation (makes your next spell AoE)
• Boost/Haste (increases a party member's primary stat or speed/recast)

Or just give us Skillchains back. Let people continue other people's combos, and let us Magic Burst on the enemy for more damage or on our party for more healing.

A fairy that could use all the Scholar skills by herself and use them at the best moment
So I could just AFK

on more serious note, a kind of cleric stance where the fairies skills turn into low potency attack or small debuff/dot to help us when we are in dps check with no need for heal

My logic was in some aspect, I didnt say a tank pet, I referred to a tank aspect which is DEF.

So a pet with def buff aspects would be suitable, e.g party def buffing, mitigation etc.

A fairy with mitigation abilities would be the least interesting fairy you could make. It would either be better or Eos, or worse. There wouldn't be a situation where you'd pick one over the other - one would simply be better in the vast majority of instances, since their impact is the same (keeping the party alive).

Considering how stupidly useless Eos is right now, having even the slightest mitigation utility on a new fairy would put Eos out of commission for good, most likely.
