Grand Company Gridania: The scouts reported the enemies number is over 9000! But thats not possible.

I feel like it wouldn't be a Final Fantasy game without all of the references to be honest. I mean how many Final Fantasy games didn't have a Star Wars reference at some point?

I love them! The humour in FF has always been top notch. The writers and localization teams are really quite creative.

For the Debbie Downers whom feel it breaks up the lore immersion too much, how many people honestly play 100% role play in a MMO. I'd be more disturbed by the magnitude of silly handle names people pick for their characters over a subtle tongue in cheek pop culture reference. The idea is for the game to be entertaining, and these kinda things always make me smile.

The NPC with name from other FF series looks like Fabio? Now every time I look at this NPC it reminds me of Fabio & I can't believe it's not butter.... orz

I can't say that was the first person I thought of when I seen "That" character.

Someone should start a pop culture references page for XIV somewhere, I always loved how FFXIencyclopedia had the background or culture reference or whatever object or npc you were lookin up. We'll have to wait for more crap to scour through.

Can I have Biggs and Wedge please?
