Yes, Please. Standing semi AFK waiting for a FATE to pop is not fun. I really can't do DF while I wait because I'll miss the FATE. Before the patch I would use that time to hunt the B rank in the zone so what OP is suggesting sounds perfect.
There is no need to design any new mobs. You take a single antling sentry model and texture, make the model larger, make it L50, then name it "monstrous antling sentry" or something similar. This could be done for every type of existing model for all ecosystems in each zone. Because this uses already existing models and textures and only changes their size, the work to implement it would be low.

Especially since the last, what, four patches? They've supposedly put in changes to "improve the spawn frequency of certain FATEs", yet I haven't seen any improvement at all.
I've heard people claim some boss FATEs, like Spiteful or Seps, have placeholder mobs (a la FFXI NMs), and trigger faster if you kill the normal mobs (Spriggans and Dragonflies respectively, in these cases) around the spawn area. I think that's a load of bollocks, though.
Totally agree with this. For the first time ever, last night, I went and picked up the daily from the board to do while waiting for my 30 minute Frontlines queue to pop.
Did the first three sets of monsters, went on to the fourth to only realize it was Spiteful from the Fate In Spite of it All, which I had already waited for hours twice before when finishing my two Animus weapons. I immediately gave up on finishing the daily bills, because there's no way I'll be standing around waiting an hour or more for a Fate for 10 seals.
should make all 5 dailies rank Bs, instead of regular mobs as well, it's more fun searching anyways
Waiting on FATEs costs too much time for the few hours you can play a day. Right now I would never consider doing the FATE portion of the bill in hindsight that I'd get nothing else done. It doesn't seem worth the time to me.
This change would be great as the only time you're spending is hunting for the mob and it's far more interesting than sitting and waiting.
