I am greatly amused by the lack of path-checking for displacement abilities: they literally only check initial and final destination as being valid targets, which is odd because the animation still abides by legality.
Try it out yourself; my favorite place is the Gridanian markets. You can stand by the Retainer Vocate, which has a desk with a little U-bump in it from the wall. Face away from her, and use Elusive Jump. Your DRG will jump in place, seemingly stopped by the desk, until you land.... in the doorway 20 yalms away?
Incidentally, this trick is an easy way to prove to yourself and others how the game processes your location: there are no intermediary points that it checks for the purpose of AOEs; either you're at your initial location or you're at the final one, when the jump completes.
