Yet another example of why many people dismiss threads where people ask for x because FF11 had it.

If it was based off MND then you would do more damage out of Cleric Stance and leas damage in Cleric Stance if using only Holy. That's just not sensible. So basically massive AOE damage and no healing penalty all in one stance.

Lore based, is like asking why dragoons dont kill dragons faster like other classes

Assuming a non-buffed Flare. Flare with 3 stacks of Astral Fire is immensely more powerful.

It just sounds like people want to use Holy without using Cleric's Stance so that they can easily swap between spamming Holy and spamming Cure when things get bad. And people wonder why everyone else cries how easy the game is.

Mind - Affects healing magic potency
Intelligence - Affects attack magic potency

Holy is not healing magic, thus its damage modifier is from Intelligence.

For those folks I present >> Benediction <<. Cleric's > Holy all you want. When tank is about 20%ish, pop dat Bene! ^.^ Lot's of my tanks had to clean they subligaria coz of this. It's fun too. It is not intended for everyday use or in all situations, but when you get to, it's worth it.

While I understand where you're coming from since MND was always the primary attack modifier for any light-based spell in the majority of Final Fantasy, we'll just have to appreciate what Yoshi-P has done to help simplify and streamline the dynamics of the game.
