Tips:
1) There is a good key named "Target Target's Target" which is by default set on... T. You may wish to change it to "`"/"~" (the one left from 1)
2) Review which windows are you opening most often and if they are not bound to any key - do it. (Example: Party Finder. Binding it on T or Y cound be VERY helpful)
3) It was already told thousand times, but want to say it again: enabling third skill row over default two and binding it on Ctrl+1-= or Alt+1-= (depends on what you're using for second row) is a standard way to play MMORPG with keyboard.

U used to use a keyboard and would use 1-6, q, e, r, t, f and g, together with shift/ctrl on my mouse buttons. I recently started using a Logitech G13 as an experiment and really like it. I keep my main rotation on 9 keys in the centre, three to the side as lesser used the shift/ctrl modifiers again. The thumb stick gets used for movement.

Another vote for the g600 here. The mouse is HUGE and not anywhere near as comfortable as the older Nagas, but I went through 5 nagas, a lycosa, and a headset in a period of 3ish years and replacing 1.5 devices a year is just too much. Logitech is a more solid brand and I replaced all my Razer gear with it. I arrange my hotbars stacked on top of one another and changed the keybindings to mimic the shape of the numberpad to help visualize where my thumb should be for each ability. With shift and alt modifiers, you have 36 buttons at your disposal and you never have to move your hand from the home row. It's great.

Naga + Anansi user here. I like them both and I haven't had any issues with Razer products yet, however when my best friend had me build his computer I told him to get a G600 instead of a naga. Its bigger and I think the slanted keys help you learn how to use it a little better (I think the newer nagas have the slanted side keys as well though). I definately recommend getting a gaming mouse if you play MMOs frequently, as it makes keybinding so much easier.

I use the anansi's buttons for alt, ctrl, shift+alt, and shift+ctrl, the other three thumb buttons are bound to a non-visible hotbar that is shared across all classes for mount, teleport, and return. I'll probably add more to that hotbar utilizing M1-M5 on the keyboard as well.On a side note: this thing has taken a beating. My almost 2 year old son loves to get up on my desk chair and pound on it, sometimes with toys, I'm actually really surprised its still functioning as well as it is.

I'll echo what other people have already said with rebinding QERF, and include spacebar (ctrl+space and alt+space if you can't stand losing jump), T and V.

Those should cover all you need really, those combinations are the most "natural" that doesn't require my fingers to bend unnaturally like alt modifiers. Ctrl modifiers work similar with shift too!

I've used this in many mmos, from casual based to end game based, crafting, gathering, pretty mych everything. :)

honestly, the GCD is so long in this game that clickers aren't really at any disadvantage. plenty of time to move that cursor around, even to hit off-GCD stuff asap.

Of course that doesnt answer the question in the OP, but plenty of people have already done that.

When I have to keep moving for mechanics like when I'm on tank/bard/melee dps. I use the keyboard to move/jump, mouse to move/turn, no time to use mouse to click. That's them situations where keybind shines.

My setup is as follows:

Razer Naga 2014 Mouse
- 1 to 0,-,+ keys assigned to side 1-12 keys on mouse and used for basic abilities for ability bar 1.
- Scroll-wheel middle click used for Target Focus.
- Scroll wheel left/right click used for Tab/alt+Tab targeting.

Razer Tartarus Game Pad
- Joystick used for movement (forward, back, strafe left/right, I steer with the mouse).
- Thumb paddle button (the big one beneath the joystick) for jump.
- Other thumb button for auto-run.
- Keys 02-05, 07-10, 12-15 (12 total) are used for abilites and are automatically set up to function as shift+1, shift+2, etc. through the Razer software.
- Key 01 is Esc for quickly exiting out of or closing things.
- Key 06 and Key 11 are modifier keys, 06 = Ctrl and 11 = Alt, so then if I hold one of those down and hit one of the other keys on the game pad it overrides the shift modifier built in and changes it from something like shift+1 to ctrl+1.

For chat and stuff like that I just use a basic keyboard.

With this setup I can easily fire off abilities from all four of my combat ability slotted bars without ever lifting up my hands and very little movement, which results in faster reaction times (once you get used to the setup) as well as less finger fatigue from long sessions of playing.

If you are not a fan of Razer you could probably do a very similar setup with the Logitech G600 MMO mouse and Logitech G13 Game Pad.

While I have heard many people say they have had durability issues with the Razer accessories, I have had none with the multiple different mice I have had over the years and I still have all of them in perfect working order going all the way back to a 1st gen Diamondback that is probably over 7 years old now. Maybe I got lucky or maybe it is because I use a very light touch hybrid finger/claw grip. As for which company and which accessories are best for you, that all depends. Do your research and if you can go to a brick n' mortar store to actually get your hands on different ones to test out the feel.

Im a lefty who rebinds everything to the other side of the keyboard so I wont even bother saying which key does what.

Basically I use 4 movement buttons forward, back, left strafe, right strafe, then bind the adjacent keys to the abilities. The more frequently I use an ability the closer it is to the movement keys. Turning is done with mouse (right-click) and I also have about 2/4 buttons on my mouse for proc skills.

Works well enough. Ive heard some payers only keybind the forward key then bind everything else around it. Thats too much for me, I like to face my target despite the fact this one auto-faces anyway :P
