PS3 to PS4 version upgrade question

From what I was told in game, I asked someone after they explained some things to me if this sounded right, and they said yes.

Does this sound right? Can anyone confirm this should work? Or wrong order? Someone in game said this sounded fine, but it was more jumbled when typed in game rather than a neat list so they may of misread.

thats pretty much it (tho with more effort D: get more HMDI wires D: ))
on the PS3 launcher window click ps3>ps4 let that do its thing plug in ps4 and boot up ff14 (can be done after you upgrade to my knowledge) click Ps3>Ps4 button again and DONE

1. Hookup the PS4 and download the PS4 client if you haven't already (I haven't hooked mine up yet).
2. Unhook PS4 and hook PS3 back up. (I can't have both hooked up at same time. Some people can.)
3. Start the FFXIV client and click the button to transfer character data from ps3 > ps4, then quit game.
4. Before unhooking ps3, go to mogstation and click upgrade to get the download code.
5. Unhook PS3 and hook PS4 back up.
6. Use the code to download the PS4 version of the game.
7. Start game and transfer data to PS4 version same way mentioned in the link someone posted above.

This is a bit wrong. You can click the button on PS3 before even downloading the PS4 version.

What I did was open the PS3 client, click the button, unhook my PS3 and hook up my PS4. Download and patch the game then click the button again. Transfer was successful.

Yup just log into the PS3 version for the last time...log all the way in and wave goodbye to crappy graphics if you want...then hit the PS3-PS4 button. Log out and shutdown the PS3...do the upgrade on Mog Station... Log onto PS4 to get your PS4 version downloaded and updated...hit PS3-PS4 button again and enjoy the gloriousness that is PS4 FFXIV.
