Why do people do Odin?

Because why not?

I don't particularly care for the drops. (Already got the barding)

But Odin is a fun fight, even through the occasional lag. And isn't fun what the game is supposed to be about?

I don't like the armour either, but man, Zantetsuken. I mean look at it. It's just... so beautiful.

And personally I find Odin just that cool. If they gave me a dungeon/trial with him and made it fun I would fight him everyday, rewards be damned. ((Would still appreciate rewards to go with experience :D))

I do it partly because watching 100+ people scurry away from a big AoE is strangely amusing.

Because its thrilling to work with tons of people for the same cause, and exhilarating when you manage a win and get the loot you want. Odin always ended on a high note to me when hunts end with people being incredibly pissed.

Why is someone even asking this... Should be self explanatory god these kinda topics I just don-weeps- WHY?!

I still do Behemoth even though I've gotten gold twice and don't even want anything that I could get with his horns. I'm not actually sure why, now that you mention it. I still have yet to get gold on Odin, though, so I'll keep doing that until I do so I can get the achievement and the sword.

When the DEVs will make it so we can glamour the suit without any problems (won't happen but wishful thinking), you will see lots of Odin's all over the server.

As others stated: Achievement (It's the only one I have left, can't find it on time and getting a group that get's GOLD grr)

Aesthetics I'm for the Zanketsuken and Helm bec of the eyes more than anything)

I'm done with Behemoth. ( I would only do it if some FC mates still need it)

I've got all of the gear for Odin, but I can see bank being made by gathering Odin's Mantles and crafting them into Dark Divinity Falleth monuments.

Also, it's a very enjoyable distraction. It's also more enjoyable than hunts, because where Odin and Behemoth drops are for more aesthetic gear, the hunts are pretty much completely dominating the endgame farming, causing it to be the the Black Friday equivalent of Odin and Behemoth. People in hunts just seem to have that kind of Black Friday mentality towards hunts, whereas Odin and Behemoth, oddly enough, seem a bit more laidback by comparison. "LFG Odin!" You get invited to a party. You battle Odin. Odin falls. You get 5 Odin's Mantles. and no one blacklists the guy who pulled first.

With hunts, it's like "LFG S-Rank!" You might get invited to a party. You can't see the S-Rank because there are too many people in the area. S-Rank falls. Everyone gets pissy and blists/flames the guy who pulled.

It's just a lot less enjoyable because there are a lot of people who do hunts who are quick to anger, there are a lot of people who do hunts who have zero patience, there are a lot of people who do hunts that act with complete apathy towards others, and it's just not a very fun place to be. Ever.

There's also a lot of new players who have never downed him, and it's possible that they might not have gear better than what you can get from Odin. Even still... Fighting him is pretty fun.
