Was FFXIV Ever Free For A Month?

The Subscription was not required to play tho =D only 90 days

There was an extended free month for around 1 1/2 years after 1.0 launch

Subscription started at january 2012 and it was only until end of september. Even while the servers were online until december, there was no way to reactivate an account that went inactive before end of september.
