Not sure if this qualifies as a job/class specific request but a rangefinder for player frames that grays out party and alliance members if they are more than 30 yalms away from you. for classes that buff/heal/assist other classes, its annoying as hell to go cast something on friendly players only to get an error that they are out of range. its especially troublesome if using macros because the buff/heal will cast on yourself. and even a few times I've seen Eos try to fly across the map to heal an out of range player and then she just despawns since they are too far.
In regard to the Frontline:
- Morale should not make it way to this PvP
- Physical Defense & Magical Defense should be re-installed
- Provoke should function like FF11 version
- Need a detail explanation in regard to range attack. I am fine with Archer/Bard is receiving damamge peanlty when target is too close, but we need more information on this so called the best range attack distance.
- Action "Cover" need to be fix, it should works with other action like Sentinel.
- Action "Flash" should be re-work: flashed taget's next physical or magical action will 100% miss.
- Action "Bio" need to be re-work: Bio no longer deals damamge but lower target's STR, Bio and Bio2 cant becast on the same target.
- Action "Stoneskin" need to be re-workd: no longer scale with target's HP, but takes MND as attribute, garniteskin will grant 10% extra.
This is from my observation and my idea of adjustment. I will not be 100% correct and I cant say anything for meele because I am playing a Monk.
Great suggestion and I agree that this is very much needed. It would definitely also allow healers to more easily heal members in other alliances.
On a side note, I am mostly adding ideas from people that increase quality of life in PvP, don't think I am ignoring anyone. There are some ideas which require more feedback before I immediately add it to the list.
i like everything except, smaller teams, that's what wolves' den is for.
There's my two suggestions, they've falling off the front page now but people seemed interested in them.
and
Edit:
Also, they should remove the confirmation window that appears for EVERY. SINGLE. POINT. you invest in your PVP skills. It's a hold over from when every point was kind of important since resetting them cost a LOT of wolf marks at the time. Now, resets are free, mistakes are cheap.
When I go to swap to a healer because the other team brought 5 whitemages and the three we had just isn't cutting it... I end up standing in spawn like a nincompoop, gradually respeccing into my healer skills. Having to spend all 40 points during a match is just so slow when *stuff* is going down and *stuff* needs to happen.
Besides which, glamours don't work if you fail to meet all of the criteria for equipping the original piece. I can't use an Adders GC coat glamour because I'm with Maelstrom. I can't use DRG af as a glamour on my DRG's other gear because it's only level 39.
That's simply the rules of glamouring.
This isn't really a detailed explanation (sorry), but basically like you said being at close range lowers the potency of your skills (except for far shot). However being at maximum range also lowers your skill potency.. "Sweet spot" range for max damage is about 13 yalms (one repelling shot + a little extra) unfortunately idk exactly how much potency is lowered by. It is a pretty big dmg reduction though, so if u wanna do max dmg in pvp as archer/brd, make positioning 13 yalms from your target second nature :P.
And YES please to ladder/ rating for 4v4 wolves. Maybe add new titles/gear/mounts based on your rating
I love the gear idea, it seems like it would be easy to impliment and the way you did it spells it out obviously to people :]
As for the confirmation for spending points, i agree but i can understand it. Some way it make it a bit less clunky to change in the middle of a match would be great.
