It's supposedly going to start soon, probably August? So I doubt these would be anything we'd get anytime soon, especially since summer's almost over. I guess the best I can hope for is for one-piece swimsuits next year, if at all.

They could also throw in some male one-piece style swim wear to satisfy the gender equality

I think I mentioned this before? Some old-timey male swimsuits would be cute as well XD

I'm all for one pieces as well, but then I'd be sad cause they would probably be just as hard to get as the new bikinis :(

Can't believe they are harder to get then second coil gear?! lol

Have never understood why vanity gear is nearly the hardest thing to get in the game :/

Because coil gear is outdated every 6 months, but pure vanity gear lasts a lifetime (or at least until the servers are shut down for good in the distant future).

However, there's also the problem of multi slot glamour. These would be nice, but I'd think that being able to apply the "two pieces" would be more beneficial if they can be glamoured. Otherwise, they'd end up like my Odin armor. Cool looking, but I can't wear it out.

I'm pretty sure cloaks and armor that covers the body and head can be glamoured onto chest pieces... so I'm working on the idea that you could glamour over chest and legs with one-piece suits. I don't know how the system works, of course, so maybe that's not possible. And yeah, they do need to fix the Odin gear :( I don't have the set myself, but it really is a shame for people who do.

It is very possible to design them to be two pieces, but have them appear like a single seamless 1-piece when both worn at the same time.

A workaround could be to add some kind of belt or sash, to cover up the seam created by it becoming two pieces. However, I'd prefer not to have a wrap-around. It kinda defeats the purpose of the one-piece suit look.
