I have turned the names off to avoid cluttering up my screen and now I feel bad about it :( I wish I could still see the little plant icon next to them. I main WHM so I'm always paying attention in low level zones to someone doing leves. I stand by and if they're getting into trouble, I'll SS+Regen them.
Just keep in mind there are some new or alt players that do not wish to receive assistance. I've run across a few and honestly I applaud their effort to accomplish the portions that are intended to be done solo without assistance.
Gotta say , this thread cheered me up lol. It's really heartening to see that players are still willing to go out of their way to help new adventurers, or simply make them feel welcome to the game. Keep it up fellow Eorzeans xD
Back when I played XI I used to love helping new players. Now that I'm one of the new players is pretty humbling. I should turn my name on so I can see it to see if I have a plant icon....... How long do those stay?
