I do not see any official announcement for maintenance on Lodestone at all.
Different websites like Zam and ffxivnews disagree about which servers are up or down. I confess that I'm a little lost.
they posted this "maintance quite some time back then it gor burried by the patch notes/posts.... sneaky sneaky SE

personally after the maintanace i would put it down to everyone loggging in.. thou with so few ppl actually playing.. wonder how they would fair with full server log in.... lol..
