That depends on what shade of black. If anyone remembers the dye colors, there's Soot Black and well.....the one that the retainer can only gather for you :P
But this question always puzzles me.
I'm holding a wedding on Friday in East Shroud and both me and the groom are in Immortal flames <__<;; I really need to be set on what color is immortal flames mainly, since all I've been seeing is near darkish-pale blue in Ul'dah >_<;
I'm so confused. Considering Fire is red I honestly thought that it would suit Immortal Flames better, and blue is basically a color of the ocean so I thought that it should be Maelstrom's ^-^;;
The Immortal Flames are very clearly based upon the Immortal Lions from XI (both led by Raubahn, too).
The Immortals in XI were blue mages.
...........*facepalms* Don't blame me, I just started playing this game less than 3 months ago. So I'm a bit lost on well...the background on the world. The only furthest I've ever played Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy X. ^-^;; I only have knowledge from there to FFX-2, FFXIII and welllll FFXIV <_<;;;;; *ish ashamed* T^T I think faaaaaaar too logically as an artist o___o
If Twin Adders can Let the yellow go and embrace the green of the leafs that shroud us or even the white of candid petals of the lily---just please get rid of the yellow! Then you can have all the black you want, but don't come back saying that black is a bad choice colour for a hot desert area ;P
I swear Immortal Flames are purple, not blue. The elite mage set and basic soldier/lieutenant set all look purple to me, too.
/shrug
Blue? It looks grey to me. Besides if the Flames uniform was black, they would just camouflage into the shadows and black is already claimed by the Ascians.
