Materia questions

I imagine it's faster in dungeons if only because it's easier to jump into ilvl 70 battle content than ilvl 70 gathering content. In addition, the necessary low level mats can make things slower. That said, I've been working on GC achievements while SBing battle, crafting, and gathering sets. Crafting goes by the fastest with battle close behind (granted, this is level 49 GC leves, not dungeons), while gathering lags behind. This may be alleviated somewhat if I go after unspoiled nodes in my travels as well though.

Definitely faster, assuming the dungeons are high enough level. If the dungeons are lower level sync than the gear's ilvl, at some point, gathering at high level nodes becomes faster.

Don't wear left-side gatherer equipment. Wear gatherer accessories and belt. If you're like, ilvl 90 and doing low level roulette, you won't even notice a difference. If you're doing dungeons at your level, be sure to switch to full gear for bosses and you'll still pull your weight just fine.

If you're doing a low level roulette, you likely won't get any SB. For instance, Tam-Tara won't SB any gear above level 26 (and even that will level slow).

Level 50 dungeons like CM, Praetorium, WP, or AK that applies in full force though.

Depends on what you're SBing. If you're SBing beginner accessories for level 1 materia, it works great. Not so great if you're trying to SB level 45 accessories for level 3 materia.

Hmm, that brings up an interesting point. We know ilvl plays a role in SB speed, and we know the lower limit below which no SB is gained (believe it's 11 levels?) Is there a similar upper limit where increasing the level of the mobs/synth/gather does not increase SB anymore?
