Would be nice, I played the game a little on the PS3 but missed out on the events because of IRL.
I don't really care about the other items from the event, but when the game has limited good hairs tyles (IMO) it seems crazy to lock some of them away.
The collector OCD in me is driven nuts with limited time events rewards. I wasn't around at the time, my PC is barely functional to use Calculator, and it lags still, and I didn't own a PS3 at the time. :(
I was under the impression that the game had not yet been released for the PS4. If that is the case wouldn't it conceivably be possible for them to run the event again when the game is in fact officially released for the PS4 as well? I am pretty certain that it is being released for the PS4 at some point.
That certainly didn't stop Sephiroth from appearing in virtually every Kingdom Hearts game to date. Or for that matter stop him, Aerith, and Zack from appearing in Advent Children. Not to mention, did you even pay attention to the plot of Final Fantasy X? 75% of the cast of that game were a form of ghost. One thing I have learned about the Final Fantasy series.... Important Characters don't stay in their graves.
Nobody knows it as fact. with the announced "FF13 trilogy pack" coming to consoles sometime next year, it could easily happen again.
Other than that, it could be added into the many "lost items" that can be found with retainers or certain vendors eventually.
The whole limited-time content idea is infuriating for any collector... or any fan of that character and imo does a dis-service to the fanbase... other than those people that think they are special for logging in and doing an event.... when others couldn't.
Temporary content wrecked GW2. nothing should be behind a paywall (item shop) or time limit.
There is only one kind of content that should ever be limited in my opinion, and that is promotional content that people get for attending conventions such as the FanFestival. The only reason I feel that way is because these are gifts given to the players who attend a one time event in person, rather than something handed out in game, and as such should be exclusive to the attendee's. That said, they should never in any way be able to gain some sort of advantage over other players through these items.
Limited Content such as the Lightning Hairstyle should in my opinion occasionally make reappearances from time to time as it is important for the player base to be given ample opportunities to feel like they have had a shot to obtain these items.
