I would have to agree that if you are doing both 30 int is better because of the various dps checks before T6. However, 40-50 HP healing loss is significant in second coils and it is bigger than just the loss of direct healing as your fairy heals will be gimped as well. I don't know what content you're are on but if your are in a static and main healer for second coil I would suggest discussing it with your raid leader before going in with 30 less mind.

I've completed up to T7 (still stuck on T8) but I play WHM. That said I don't feel that 40-50 hp is going to make a difference when the mob is already hitting for 2k+ (to the tank). The only mild healing checks that I've run into is doing the burn strat in T6 which is AoE healing which the WHM is better at. And the dread in T8 but that is a short time (~15-20 secs tops) and the SCH will most likely be using lustrate then so the loss of MND won't make that much of a difference.

I'm unsure how the fairy is effected by MND but now I'm tempted to check that.

You can split the difference, but remember that while the player has access to all classes, the purpose of the job system was to allow players to "specialize" in certain jobs. That means you have to gimp the ones you aren't specialized in. It doesn't seem like a good system now since we only have 9 jobs, but in the future when we have 15-20+ jobs with 3-4 of them branching off a single class, specialization will play a key role in this game. Plus you also have to account for level cap raises. 30 points isn't huge now, but at some point in the future we will have 50, 60, 70+ stat points to allocate, and then the decisions become much more meaningful.

Unless you're doing Coil2, 30INT does more for SMN than 30MND would for SCH in casual content.
