actually, it's not playing it when it's windowed, but you CAN have it play sound when the window isn't in focus, it's right there in the settings, that would accomplish what you are looking for
System Configuration, Sound Settings, Play sounds when window is not active.
SO you want to be able to start the game, start your queue, then do something else?
In that case:
Dear Yoshi P,
I find it so hard to play this game because I'm expected to push buttons and stuff, and that's hard. Can we get a feature to have the game play itself for me?
Jokes aside, I have a second monitor so I can leave it up, but really, I just use the queue time to go do things in game (like the Atma)
I'm the same - I use the queue time to level my Disciple of Land/Hand classes, and complete my Daily Quests.
Guys, this is a GOOD idea. Why are so many people shooting it down? The queue system is annoying enough as it is, it sucks that you have to constantly keep checking to make sure you don't miss it while you have another window open. The only way is to leave ingame sound on, which should not be required.
Just a simple little bubble coming from the little icon on the bottom right taskbar saying "Your queue is up!" would be good.
They're shooting it down because it's not needed? How about you try playing the game instead of asking for pointless changes and additions. I highly doubt that you or the OP have absolutely nothing to do in game to keep you occupied while you're waiting for a queue to pop.
They down it because the game already has the tools to do so.
"Play sound when windows is inactive" and "system sound on" while all others are off. Tadaaa~ you can now do something else, and the DF pop will be clear enough
oh yeah and you'll have absolutely no other sounds, except maybe a 90k and a mog post mail.
