However, the topic of this thread is to suggest the implementation of a Test Server in the future, so please keep posts on topic and certainly refrain from making personal attacks on each other, as that does nothing to support or critique a proposed idea.

Test environments are bug ridden, that's why they exist in the first place. Trust me, I test software for a living. SE would hear nothing but complaints, and given how much useless complaining there is on the forums already, it wouldn't help them out any.

The patch is ok, but they took away any good leveling opportunities. I mean, all we HAD was leve and behest. Now we don't even have that. Sure they added instances, but you can't rank up in there, and MAYBE they made party play more available, but I don't see anyone shouting in ul'dah for a grind party, and there is no good search feature.
I want 50, but I'm not going to solo grind it. -

What do you mean you can't rank up in instances? I mean I was r50 when I went, but I was getting 300 sp per kill in the darkhold. At r45 that would have been an extremely good leveling pace.

I absolutely love this patch!
So many things have changed, so much new stuff, we have barely even had time to figure everything out yet.
Haters gonna hate I guess, but I think YoshiP and the dev team are doing an amazing job and hope they keep up the good work! -

This is the direction they want to take the game and I, along with a lot of other people it seems, agree with the changes/fixes they are making. I don't think a test server would change anyone's opinion or SE's development plans. The most it could have done is maybe adjust the MP costs of cure's a little, but that's something they can easily remedy in the next patch. The game is still a work in progress and these changes were necessary to lay the foundation for something better.

Everything gets nerfed in time, and it will all balance out in the end. I'm sure they tested all of the changes and have strategies that make everything able to work. Everyone complained about the ability to curaga all day with no hate or mp pool concerns...now theres mp conservation and hate is an issue. The game is now getting more challenging and people still complain...I think SE knows they can't please these people so anyone who complains about the changes will not be heard. This patch doesn't mean that every job will stay the way it is and nothing else will be done. It will never be perfect and people just have to bite the bullet. These forums are the worst thing for the game IMO, it's 80% negativity/18% flaming. There is a small 2% of people around here that continue to stay positive, look at changes and adapt with them because they know it's for the better.
