its a badly executed move, removing the only payment choice for many people before the new solution is in place. to me that is a bit like pulling the tires(tyres) off a car then trying to drive down the in the very same car street to get new ones.

ofcourse I'm still of the opinion that rather than doing time 60 day cards for FFXIV they should have done 1500 and 3000 crysta cards

you can only use Ultimate Pay for buying Crysta. this is a normal sub payment screen you have here

As long as I can still use UltimatePay to pay with Paypal, I think I am going to be okay... Can't speak about anyone else. But perhaps you could buy those 20 dollar Visa or Mastercard Pre-Paid Credit Cards and use those to pay for your subscriptions?

if we can find one without a fee attached to it. most of those prepaid visa cards have a fee.
some even charge you a fee every time you use them.

No they don't. At least the one I got as a Christmas gift didn't. They literally have 20 dollars on them that you are free to use at any time.

Unless you are talking about Pre-Charged Credit Cards that parents set up for their kids? Those yes, do have a Fee. But the ones I am talking about are the ones that you buy in Grocery Stores.

This is incredibly bad. I rely entirely on UGC for my crysta. I have never trusted square's credit card billing system every since they messed with it for 'verified by visa' nonsense during FFXI days. When ARR started billing, I tried the credit card again once but got rejected without reason (the very same card I use for steam purchases) and I started hearing about people having their accounts suspended for days for multiple attempts of CC billing that doesnt go through so I just went with UGC. What's even worse, I just saw someone in this very forum saying they're permanently banned because of yet another credit card billing issue.

Gameday cards are also not a valid payment for me since I'm legacy too.

I think it's in SE's best interest to fix this ASAP before the backlash hurts their income

my suggestion to them is that since UltimatePay wants to support their merchants in the way they mentioned they should get them to make Square Enix Crysta Cards
and to help a step farther put FFXI and FFXIV logos on the cards
