I do admit I SB in dungeons too, but I usually switch to my max gear when party dealing with bosses. If party still ask to wear better gear, I assume they wanted to speed run (SR) it, something I'm not really keen to do these days in DF. SR are usually done via PF anyways. And I usually have my gear set on hotbar too, including separate gear set for sb, so that I can switch them between real quick.

Besides, if party can wipe on regular mobs, there's usually something wrong about how each job play their roles, not entirely to faulty of their gear setup. One of great example is if party has quite under-geared tank. Either party adjust their gameplay by nuking 1 mob at a time instead of AOE them, or have the tank use better gear if he's actually SBing in here.

I can see what you're saying, but it shouldn't be an issue with just accessories.

I can only speak to the stories I've heard from a buddy who got talked to and GMs I've spoken with when reporting people. It can be considered a type of harassment because you're purposefully lowering your ability to do anything forcing the team to work around you and your demands. There's nothing wrong with being undergeared, but it becomes a problem when the tank can't even be healed because he's in level 44 dps career gear or when adps is wearing gathering gear. You're then putting an undue stress and preventing your team from progressing because they don't have a tank or dps.

Like for one example. I had a Halatali HM, our tank only had his weapon, and like two or three pieces of gear everything else was white 44 gear that wasn't even for tanking. He died on every trash pull because he had no health or stats and once we got to the boss he would refuse to tank it or try and wipe us unless we let him fight it a few times by himself. So I reprted him and was told both his actions and gear could be considered harassment because he wouldn't and couldn't actively participate in a manner that benefited the groups progress in the dungeon

His attitude was definitely the nail in the coffin so to speak, but they also said it was because of how under and improperly geared h he was. No one is going to get reported or punished and hopefully not get kicked for being undergeared because hey they were all designed to be doable in militia level gear. It might suck a bit having a tank, dps, or healer that's not 110 and takes more damage, does less damage, and heals for less than you'd like, but it all falls within the scope of the game and how it was designed. The problem comes when you wear just enough gear to game the system and meet the requirement and then have stuff that's not even designed for you so much that you can't even hire to do your job properly.

meh dont really see the problem if its like 1-2 pieces maybe 1 piece of main gear+ accessory because lets be honest dungeons is not exactly difficult. I don't sb but couldn't care less as long as its not taking the piss by going overboard.

When you see someone doing that, just say in party chat "Oh great, it's a SB party!", change to full SB set and encourage all other party members to do the same (especially the tank and DDs). :)

Say what? That's like to telling people they can't be half naked in the dungeon. Good luck with that XD
