Is it against the ToC to sell carries?

Though probably not against ToS, I wouldn't be too surprised if they did gil wipe like they did before.

:< That's a little alarmist. It's been long enough since launch and nobody has posted anything to the tune of "SE took my monies 'cause I sold runs". It's not an exploit or RMT, so it's perfectly in the clear.

Well, I've been selling carries for millions, 500k - 2m at most for runs. I have 10s of millions going through my account everyday.

However, I just thought it'll trigger the RMT detection system if i were to get a lump sum of 40mil in a span of 5mins..
I don't fancy getting suspended over something like this ><

Would love a dev to confirm it!

If you want to be doubly-safe and quell your worries, I'd suggest screenshotting the person you're trading with while they are in the run with you. Just as a "Look we killed the guy, and this rich lump of space is over here, yeah? Yeah! No cheaty!"

Grey area in a sense that depending on how the devs might want to interpret it, they can decide that such actions are against the way the game is designed to be played.

but well, charging 10s of millions for T6/T7/T8 runs is rather astronomical, finding legit buyers with that much gil to throw for a single run without guaranteed loots would be the difficult part IMO, especially on populated servers such as Tonberry where you have 1001 SCoB PF parties and statics.

at the end of the day, I'm not a supporter and I am against the selling carries but that is purely on an ethical standpoint, not one based on ToS

Gil laundering can work in similar ways as well, in the event they need to transfer large amounts of gil, they could masquerade it in the form of buying/selling carries.

This made me laugh a bit too much.

According to the devs ( can't find the quote althought ), they said that they had nothing against it as long as it wasn't too expensive ( to prevent people from buying gils from RMT )
