On Balmung, Odin makes the zone red dot... don't dc but see everyone red dotting and laggy

People already initiated contact so his helmet is equipped. Just before the first person encounters him he removes his helmet and you can see his face (which is the face of the last person that killed him). I'm curious to what his original face looked like.

Ah, never noticed that. There may not be any images since people on his first appearance likely just rushed in.

Here's a few examples from an old thread after the opening of 2.0 (no idea where it's buried at now).

As you can see his head and body changes according to the player who is tagged as getting the kill.

Now this one is interesting because it's one of the earliest screenshots I've seen of Odin. The problem is that the player didn't get his name included so we have no idea if he was killed before. The age of the picture kinda points that he wasn't though, as at the time there were only maybe a handful of level 50 players, so this may just be Odin's natural form (old Elezen-like). Without the name tag we may never know though unless SE comes forward and says something.

I can't even touch him or behemoth. Normally my connection's great, but even trying to approach those fights kills the action. And then me shortly after.

The trick about Odin and Behemoth I have learned... is not going during prime time.

6pm-1am? Nope... ignore them thanks.

2am - 5pm ? Go go go go! *sirens wail* We have a confirmed sighting in North shroud! Chocobos away! / for an invite! For the love of god someone go as WHM!

Course, it depends on your servers peak times ^_^...

Also networking... Someone, somewhere in one of your LSs should say 'Odin's up' - If they don't then talk with them and make an agreement to do so. You give a little, you get a little ^_^

First of all, congrats on your first Odin experience ^^

As far as what to do with Odin's Mantles. Save up 5 of them. When you get 5, you can trade them to Aelina for various things, such as: Slepnir Barding, the Zantetsuken (a GLD/PLD sword), and etc.
