I think this is the part could become debatable, because you not doing your best could be construed as infringing on people's right to play. You say you play this game for fun right? Would you objectively say that if you aren't playing your best, that you could possibly be impacting other people's fun? If you have a DPS that is just spamming auto attacks, it would be easy to understand why the other DPS has to "pick up the slack" and stop having fun. I think there is a difference between playing YOUR best versus playing at a WORLD best. Note, I've seen plenty of instances where advice was given, but the delivery was very poorly done. I could see the recipients point of view of completely ignoring it because they were feeling attacked.
you do believe without questioning them what people tells you `?people that you dont know and have never met before ? sorry I dont, I hear what they say but doesnt mean I will follow what they say to me. I kidn of dont have that mentality to believe all what I am being told, rather the contrary ...we are all different arent we ?

I get tired of trying to help new players out who don't want to listen. I'll say Oh you're level 40+ PLD hey you should use Shield Oath...... then I hear "I don't need it". Or you tell a whm they shouldn't keep putting Regen on the tank before he pulls and you hear "I know what I'm doing".
Bad players will be bad players
Do I believe them? It depends. Here is an example. I am currently leveling WHM. I asked a WHM what cross class abilities they use. They told me, and I questioned them. Not because I didn't believe them, but because I wanted to understand why. I asked about other abilities, and why they didn't use them. Based on their responses, I could then gauge whether I felt their insight was indeed knowledgeable or not. Either way, I didn't automatically dismiss them and get offensive, but rather tried to understand why they felt their way was better.
The optimal job rotations are super simple to learn in FFXIV, there's no excuse not to look them up and practice them since it'll benefit your general killspeed, whether it be in group content, or out soloing.
The amount of DRGs I've seen who don't even use Heavy Thrust, which gives them a 15% damage bonus, or DPS jobs in general not putting up their DoTs where applicable.
It's a very small difficult tight rope you need to walk to word advice in such a way that you don't come off as being a prick.
On that note as a level 31 Dragoon am i doing this right? Heavy thrust - Phlebotomize - Thrust combo 3 - Keep Heavy buff up / Weave Jump on CD and refresh Phlebotomize and fracture. (Sorry but a tank was very rude to me today about that rotation and i thought i was doing it right.)
All of this usually happens because players can't be bothered to read their own skill descriptions. You should go play a single player game if you can't cooperate or take advice from other people. I'm sure there are people who give advice in the wrong way, but there are also people who do know more about your class than you do.
Only time I got that happen to me was when I was leveling my paladin and running a certain dungeon while I was leveling through DF.
Did the dungeon a couple of times and then I finally got group with some cranky dictator type healer. A dps left because of him and then he tried to place the blame on me and trying to give me pointers which was hilarious because I was doing more than he was even mentioning.
Told him to tell that to the next tank that comes in because I'm out see if he puts up with his attitude.
