Question about blue quest gear

GENERALLY your AF gear should be okay. You'll wanna replace it as you go along for a few reasons, namely the HM primals have a bit more of an ilvl requirement. Also you'll wanna have ~3.2k HP for Titan HM to make sure you can survive a full set of Tumults and not get knocked out before a Medica catches you.

IIRC you can buy the i55 gear at the highest rank.

in theory yes, many of us did it that way

but it became less grindy to get some fairly decent gear with the patches, so a few peices you pick up here and there will make you more robust in the last garuda/titan fights

with people doing trial roulettes and grossly overgeared people willing to help out it is not the headache it once was, just practice :)

Not quite. You need an average iLvl of 57 to challenge Titan (nevermind win), so you'll have to get some gear through other methods (HM Ifrit, Garuda, and the Thornmarch in post-game story drop weapon upgrades you can use in the meantime though!)

Generally yes, although you can always take a few days and grind out some Mythology tomestones from the endgame dungeons and get yourself one or two pieces of i90 jewelry for your class (or just save up and get i90 gear), and that'll help out enough to make it not a huge headache, and it should put you over the iLvl requirement for most stuff.

Awesome information everyone! I found this reddit post that was very helpful that is in line with what everyone said so thank you! It seems like I will be skipping the GC i55 gear. It seems like it would be too much of a seal grind (Sergeant Third Class at the moment) when I could just get in the 50 dungeons for gear by then. Thanks again for all the help!

You need to max your rank for the weapon. As for gear, I'd get HQ copies of the 55 crafted militia/imperial gear, as all your AF except body is only level 50, plus you can convert it into materia when done with it.

Is that just HQ crafted gear from the market board? About how much Gil will I need for that? Don't you need about 50k for your relic? Thanks!!!

On my server, about 8K a piece for the tank set. You can also use the HQ base weapon for the relic, though demand due to relics alongside folks usually skipping the chests with the materials in WP means those can be expensive.

That's not bad at all. I should have about 200k Gil when I hit 50
