Ah I do agree with you there, I personally don't understand the 4 party make up, and think a 5 party system would have been more beneficial.
I guess its just "wait and see" really, i'm excited nonetheless.

I believe it was explained, though maybe not so obvious. People up on the lore, correct me if I'm wrong, but your character holds the gun like that because they see the sea wolf roegadyn hold one like that in the opening sequence.
That guy was either Rostnstahl or someone who uses his gun technique, which is why you're unceremoniously kicked out.
There's no mistery about this class, it's Musketeer. What he's likely talking about is the role or how it plays which is obviously different from the original design like Arcanist.
Rise of the machinist! Lesser jobs will cower in fright!
I'd honestly think one of the branching jobs will be Chemist. Remember how Cid fights beside you in Every Little Thing She Does is Magitek(?). He fights with a gun and uses potions
NOW THAT I'M NOT ON MOBILE~
To elaborate: Cid in the fight fought with guns, though I can't remember if he had any weapon skills and I can't quite remember if he used it like a club, it's been too long since I last did that quest.
He used his potions like a CNJ would a Cure spell which means his potions are obviously much stronger then our current potions, so perhaps Chemist would have a skill that either uses potions we have as ammo and enhances them (removing CD), or pull potions out of it's rear magically for curative, buffing and debuffing effects
I also can't remember if he used potions offensivly. All I can remember is Cid, He used a Gun, he used potions, we destroyed those Garlean attackers, and both times I was a Lalafell (unrelated note)

This would be an interesting job for the gunner.
They did it right in ffxi. Tank healer support dps x3
