Ya from Behemoth , from what I read from these forums are..... What's the word....full of high ranking already established groups.
Probably want to try changing servers. Try that as your last option before you hang it up for good.

Not true. I was were you people are not long ago. I couldn't get past T5 because of all the random groups and how bad they play. I searched a FC that was in Turn 7 and needed my class and that was willing to take me through T5 as a test raid. I had nothing to loose really. If I wouldn't have been able to live up to my words I would have at least T5 down since they could probably do the fight very well without me, and if I did I finally have a FC that i can do the new coil with. I am glad it was the later and I am now progressing T9 with them.
There is always a way if you want to and if its the other players holding you back then you have nothing to fear. Go and reach out to the FCs with T6+ requirements and tell them about your situation. There is more nice people out there than you think.
I know it sounds bad, but try harder. That is if you're willing.
Some ideas that might help:
*Put up an advertisement for yourself in Party Finder with all your info. Either look for a static, temporary group, LS or FC. Be patient. Last part is key.
*Advertise through shout.
*Join another server. Maybe make characters on high pop servers and post your advertisement to see if you get any bites before transferring.
*Make your own group(s). Lay down the law if the same person keeps holding you back. AKA PuG it till you make it. It's possible.
*Join the learning groups that are already made, accept that you'll fail but better yourself in the process for as far as you can.
*Talk to people. Make friends. Through friendships you may make connections to experienced groups willing to help you.
*Search for online gaming communities that play FF14. As aforementioned, put yourself out there and try to create friendships and connections.
pugging the Ex primals is possible don't give up on that even on Feaire one of the crappiest servers to pug on i managed it, but T5 is a different story, you make learning groups you never see past conflags, you make please know up to twisters groups you sometimes don't make it past divebombs and itf you do you wipe as soon as twisters happen, the only thing i can say is try to get a static, its the only way i know to acutuly clear T5 on some servers
It's the sad truth I can tell you to stay positive and to look forward to hopefully to 2.3 if they add CT 2, which may make it easier to do T5 and keep progression going but I wont give you false hope. Especially if progression will be split like this and you're uncomfortable by it.
I'd suggest you stick around for the first live letter in may 24th and then E3 in june 10th before finalizing your decision at least.
So you're playing a dragoon without ANY cross-class abilities?
Just have to keep at it I've been stuck on T5 for over 3 months now. I do agree though its pretty tough getting a static for it or anyone to help. It seems like every time you get into a party whether it be DF of PF someone rage quits if anyone dies which is a shame. Just gotta keep trying eventually you'll get it done.
Im not comfortable leading a party for content that I haven't cleared. That always leads to rage quits and wipes.
I understand inexperienced but the problem is that either no one is running the dungeon, if they are they have DRG locked out so they can't join.
The four PUGs I have been able to get into in the past 3 weeks haven't made it past dive bombs.
I have also tried learning parties but none of them make it past fire bombs and conflags.
As for FCs, Ive been through 5 since joining the game. The one Im in now is the most experienced Ive been in but they also don't have static groups or ever do anything aside from their own little groups that no one is invited to.
I've shouted for FCs, statics, everything turns up dead ends.
I don't understand what you mean? I have all of my cross class abilities.
