New City Ideas! [post your ideas]

Ishgard will be truly worthwhile if they separate it like they did Jeuno in XI. Where it basically spirals up an down, following the way the city is build already. As of right now, the lower areas of Ishgard just disappear into a mist, no idea what may be lurking down there and in that, by exiting Ishgard's subterranean gate, into Dravania itself.

I would truly like visit the Scion's origin city, Sharalyan, hopefully there we'll find a library that chronicles all subjects of in game lore, which they can gradually release to players as we build up a reputation with them, much like we do with the beastmen tribes currently.

The other city like place I truly want to visit though, is the Garlean's Imperial Captial. I imagine it'll be something akin to Arcadia from FF12, which is fine.

Underground city of the drawves.
City in the clouds.
Futuristic city hidden in plain sight.

When?

I think, in a future expansion, Revenant's Toll should be converted into a City-State. Maybe even call it "New Sharlayan"?

This! Treno was such a cool and memorable place, i'd love to have a location like it in XIV.

I like all the ideas, so I'll toss one out as well.

Maybe an ancient Allagan city that was just brought up from the depths of the land? Why not have a PVP area where people can just walk inside and beat on each other. Not a huge deal, but it's the little things that count.

With that said, I wouldn't mind Burmecia, Conde Petie, or Cleyra from IX too lol.

I've always been interested in the Allagans and their history! Would be awesome. And really good ideas guys! :) I wish they would add these things

A city in the sky that is only accessible by Airship.


Oh and you have to fight Rocs and other sorts of bird monsters as well on the trip up.

My vision is kinda like in FFXI when you rode the boat and monsters would spawn on the deck. Now imagine flying through the sky like that and then having a giant city appear through the clouds.

I think it is safe to assume that the current cities will be expanded upon in future expansion packs. One of the new main story quests mentions the unfinished parts of the city (forgot which city). They definitly should be bigger with more to explore.

I would also like to see some of the smaller settlement expand in patches as well. Being in an ever evolving world would be great. No reason places like Fallgourd Float, Little Ala Mhigo, Aleport, Coerthas and the like can't slowly grow as they recover from the calamity.
