I have one STRONG suggestion for Grand Company Content.

Indeed Campaign & Besieged were awesome. When I first briefly heard about Behests I was thinking "Like Campaign??". Then tried it and it was more like "Aww, that's too bad".

They also mentioned that "Hamlet Defense" stuff many moons ago that gave me a bit of hope for somethin' like Campaign/Besieged. I forget what ever happened to that idea though.

And a suggestion is just that. The dev team may or may not implement it if they see merit in it. More content is welcome regardless as far as I'm concerned.

One thing I would like to add if Hamlet defense works in the same manner as Besieged/Campaign:

DON'T limit participants like Behest currently does! Campaign has no limit (multiple zones), and Besieged I think had a very high cap (100 players? Tell me if this isn't the case.) for those that could jump into the battle zone. To get a large portion of the server in on things are very fun.

And make sure the mobs don't die in 5 seconds.

Yeah, definetely Campaign will be the best thing for this game at the moment.

SE NEEDS TO START LOOKING BACK TO FFXI AND SEE WHAT THINGS THEY HAD THAT WORKED AND WERE LOVED BY PLAYERS AND START IMPLEMENTING TO FFXIV WITH ITS OWN TOUCH.

would love something like campaign though i would like it with the same sp basically as regular grind. or regularly newly added rewards would be cool or items always needed.

at the moment though in reality it sounds more like campaign ops, and i didn't like those. and unless they start adding other stuff to this i don't see companies having a real in game life cycle. it will die out like city signet, or any other type from ffxi.

only difference though is ...this will be second game played and i'm not looking forward to this if it's the same. i want something new and that feels new. content new, shell of the game i would of loved like ffxi, not the stuff we do in it. but any who i could be wrong, i still can't wait to see this stuff in action. 1week to go!

You know what other game already has Campaign? FFXI. It's pretty good too, you should try it sometime! You won't even have to wait to play all the glorious features you're asking for! :D

This is the only thing that i wouldnt agree too much, i would like to have 3 to 5 waves of mobs in every hamlet defense with a very large wave in the first wave of weak mobs, the another wave of harder mobs, aso on until the last wave including a beast tribe, garlean, monster boss with a handful of hard mobs with him.

I think that would make it really interesting to have.

Campaign was an awesome system and it's still relevant. What do you think Rift based their game off of? This isn't just a FFXI system. It's a system that works for MMOs and is giving the player a constant flow of content to do.

I kinda think this is the direction of Grand Companies though anyway. It would make sense to create their own campaign-like system for this.

Its not like that im only saying that there are good stuff from FF XI that could be implemented but with FF XIV touch, i dont want another FF XI i want a new fun game, with great content and if they know how it works, because they have tested in a previous game they could take less time to implement in this game.

These kind of trolls are the ones that are realizing these game is getting better and want to bitch every op. they see like if SE would matter, they probably already had this discussion between them.

Yes I'm trolling because I don't want the game to copy/paste everything that was in FFXI. Thanks.

I DO realise the game is getting better which is EXACTLY why I don't reccomend them just copying content from other games when this team seems perfectly capable (if a bit slow) of designing and implementing their own ideas for content.

Not everything has to be a re-hash of a re-hash. Yes XI was a great game in many aspects and some things should have naturally been moved over to XIV, but not EVERYTHING.

There's not a day I don't see a thread that essentially boils down to "GET THIS FEATURE FROM FFXI AND PUT IT IN THIS GAME!".

Guess what, this is the same company that made FFXI. They know the game, they know it's content... You don't NEED to suggest any of that to them because they made it in the first place!
