@OP - Please stop making threads, find a new class to play or a new game or at least ask for a new class/job that features things you would want.

No, wait. I would use Ifrit-Egi or Levi-Egi or Ramuh-Egi if they had a powerful dot even if they can't use Contagion: I mean, 6 dots instead of 3 dots for the double time would be nice.
I think that Contagion is the only reason we use Garuda-Egi at the moment.
But if Summons could put other dots and they could affect our Festers I would summon one of the other summons with no problems.

Contagion conserves MP for long boss fights which no other pets will have. They followed the Rift model where each pet represented a role rather than their element. Garuda is the wind element so she will always be our main attacker. Ifrit will always be doomed to killing trash and Titan is our tank. Unless they give the Egis an aoe eventual attack that leaves 20s Dot I don't see how they can make Ifrit and other Egis useful without a straight up nerf to Garuda.

Actually, Garuda was your final summon and the final primal you fight in the story. When we got ifrit, we still had carbuncle..

Ifrit is designed to be a melee dps pet. Ifrit has advantages himself over the others and will do more dps then garuda or titan, but contagian makes garuda more effeciant for boss fights.

Titan is your tank pet, all pet classes in any mmo I have EVER played or heard of has a tank pet who's sole job is to tank. Wow hunters had them.. the bear for example yet they don't use them in raids, only solo. Rift has them on each pet class, Aion, etc etc etc. There is nothing wrong with Titan, he is working as intended.


Garuda is your range dps pet, by being range there is less of a chance you need to watch your pet's hp which makes garuda easier to manage then ifrit.. ifrit could get tail-swiped or cleaved, garuda won't unless you position her to get it, or the tank tries to troll you.

As of right now, ifrit is also the pvp pet so he does have a use.

Aion, has a tank pet, a melee dps pet, a range dps pet, and a pvp pet.
Rift, as far as I am aware each pet class again, has a tank pet, melee dps pet, and range dps pet... no specific pvp pet
WoW, there are so many different pets you can get, but as normal most people get the cat because it's the best dps.
