BLM PVP Assistance PLZ

A Black mage is not suppose to be a DPS. It has the most crowd control out of any class, with sleeps, heavy, slow and binds. If you win the game with about 3k total damage you've probably done your job right. Blm is not suppose to be a powerhouse murder the healer class. The best black mages I know, such as Anti Sora will end the game with the lowest total amount of damage but that does not mean his presence was not appreciated. In the rank 30+ queues in the Japanese data centre I'm in atm, there is ALWAYS a black mage and matches on average are 5 minutes or more because of the fact that healers are extremely hard to kill because the black mage is very good at controlling the flow of the game and utilising all his CC abilities.

all of my parties are 5 min to 45 min , with or without blackmage

Wrong. If you're not on Primal DC, you're not actually playing this game's PvP.

In 4v4 rank 30 only matches that we organize with Behemoth sever, when I went BLM (I got to rank 30 playing SMN/BLM/WHM) I was able to consistently do about 10-15,000 in 2 minute matches. This is on top of developing a really good DR memory for Sleep and Heavy (Blizzard I) and Bind (Freeze) on >every< enemy player. If you ever see a BLM sleep someone and go into turret mode to babysit sleeps, consider them awful. If you see ANY remote amount of Sleep babysitting, consider that BLM horrible. You can rotate CC on everyone in such a way that you can save Raging Strikes + INT Potion + Phantom Dart to annihilate targets in a short window.

rofl. this made me laugh, but I agree.. seems like all other DCs do is talk about who is better than who and complain about literally EVERYTHING.. less talk more playing *cough cough* jk

As Cali says, a good blm can dish out sick burst and keep enemy teams slept/binded.. And who said blm aren't suppose to be DPS.. wut? lol. I mean I get what your saying, they aren't going to be topping dps/total damage done at the end of the game against say a bard or summoner. But they do have awesome burst, while at the same time having so much crowd control

PS. Have pvp skills. playing in 50s with no pvp skills as a blm sucks, learned that the hard way QQ

Oh also.. What do you mean by obliterated? Like you instantly die and can't do shit about it? Well I mean you can't help it if u have a bad healer.. But generally this how I keep people off me (btw cali that one match I played with yall dosent count, no pvp skills and i was having a bad day =( )

i try not to wait till whole team is on me, i start precasting blizz 2 when I know they are headed for me, so that way I can save surecast/reduce overall dmg done to me by tank/melee, this way u can keep them off you with a bind. Also, aetherial manipulation is your friend, if you play WoW, it's like having a blink except it dosen't get you out of stuns and also has to be used on a teammate. Try fake running a certain direction (juke them) then aeth manip to whoever in the opposite direction. Also remember, a lot of people like blowing purify instantly the moment they get slept, so precasting a sleep directly after you sleep them can sometimes help (kinda like in WoW also if u play a mage, poly target then start polying again after wards to get them to waste a trinket)

Regarding this case... just tell your MRD to kill the entire opposing team. I mean, this forum always talks about how OP MRD is. Surely the healer skill shouldn't even enter into the equation if you got that MRD on your side.

On a more serious note, to those having issues on BLM, if you're getting completely wrecked on BLM and dealing near zero dmg, you are doing it wrong. Good BLMs that know the order in which to use their skills can stay up for awhile with the entire opposing team on them. Tip: Learn to Purify Full Swing.
