If it just happened (or at least fairly recently), then the chest's history log will show the deposit. In that case, I think the FC leader should be willing to give him back what he put in. If it was long enough ago to have aged out of the log, then probably not.

edit: As an FC leader I would ask questions:
1. why were you messing with the gil chest in the 1st place?
2. were you depositing money? if not, then again number 1.
3. if you were depositing money, did you want it all back?
4. if you did want it all back, then again number 1.
5. do you have a screenshot showing that that is how much YOU actually donated that amount of gil?

depending on the responses would determine my course of actions.

pfft i'd just gived 64k back to him w/o any big questions or investigation , max i'd checked chest (we only 5 ppl's in FC so i allways know what inside) 64k is not even gils noways lol
