Patch notes are meant to inform, not to spoon feed you with everything.

Believe the materia thing is changing from one type to another.

Probably a chance to transform the useless elemental materia to more useful one, and possible higher tier.

It's weird that they changed so little in what we all knew would be a tiny patch!

If only there were some sort of quest you could access in a matter of hours that would explain the system...

But shucks I guess we'll just never know how it works and will just have to abandon all hope of ever using it.

Actually its explained in the french version. Its combining 5 materia to get a higher one
