Playing on PS4- is it really better to get a USB keyboard?

I setup an entire hotbar with nothing but emotes for when I want to be lazy, that's something else you can do as well as the macros until you can get a keyboard. it's simplistic but at least you'll be able to communicate.

You have convinced me - the keyboard is in.
I have a USB keyboard set up with my pc (my wife is probably not going to be thrilled if I steal it for extended periods so I'm probably gonna have to get a second one). I'll be trying it out tonight.
Also, I'm on Lamia if anyone wants to kick around, though I'm still pretty low- level so I won't be terribly useful for a but....

If I was on your server I'd definitely help you out. Hope the wife doesn't get too angry XD

Sadly I'm on Sargatanas, but I hope you have a good time in the game! A new keyboard shouldn't be expensive, I'm using one that around 20$.

Nah, I think she'll be fine, if I only use the keyboard for a day or two and then get my own. What I WILL have trouble with is convincing her to make a character and try it out herself- she IS interested, but intimidated by the interface.

Yeah, I can go grab one of those from a Radio Shack close to home- I've seen them for the same price. Thanks!

Providing you have Android or Apple, you can always install the PS app and use the keyboard option in second screen to type. Unfortunately, you still have to bring up the interface so the app knows you want to type, but its still quicker than the controller. Decided to give it a go as I would try to reply to something, then come off the chat log and find either everyone have moved on or the subject had completely changed.

I DO have a Nexus 7 and the PS app- I'll give that a try, too. I hadn't thought about the fact that it has a keyboard! Thanks!

Yes! I have the same problem haha. I want to say thanks to those that heal me, but it isn't fun without a keyboard lol

In case you're interested, I have one of THESE and they're damn useful. No wires, and easy to set up.

Still prefer my PS3 official keypad though, but hey. :)
