2.3 speculation

Gold Saucer should be in the Sagoli Desert IMO, I hope its more than just a casino, I would like to see timed battles and lots of mini games.

Of course it needs a quest line involving Hildibrand and something to do with people going missing in quick sand.

Didn't they mention something about a big pvp overhauwl? Or was that scheduled for 2.25?

Looking at it now with the teasers from this patch's storyline, it might make sense that the Golden Saucer would be in either 2.3 or 2.4. Though I don't think it'll be in 2.3.

Teledji Adeledji appears to be preparing for a coup to overthrow the Sultana, now that the Empire is no longer an immediate threat. We will likely play a hand in stopping him and his supporters in 2.3's arc. Teledji Adeledji is currently the head of the Platinum Mirage, a popular Casino in Ul'dah. Should he fail in his plans, the Mirage will no doubt fall into the hands of another intrepid Ul'dahn... possibly with a name change and slight refurbishment *hint* hint*

if the atma quest had the fights like the ones we had in Beta for low level main story, where you needed several tries and a strategy beforehand to do it barely I would be up for it, that's why I would love the introduction of NM's in open world like the Dhorme Chimera, would be awesome something like that and the fight could have a certain dps and gear check in order to be able to beat them, I prefer by far difficulty as time sink than the random drop...

Actually the relic system in XI since abbysea has a very similar approach, you have to kill certain NM's that change depending in the growth path you take with your weapon or if you choose a different path it could mean doing certain weapon skills x # of times on one kind of mob or in general and after completing the quest there's another set of NM's that is required to upgrade it further, so at the end with the same base weapon you could get a very different final weapon depending on what you want.

Things have been confirmed for 2.3? I thought everything was just speculation.

I don't think we will see Ramuh until the first expansion (or whenever Ala Mhigo is released). Unlike the other primals, Ramuh's only desire is to protect the Twelveswood where the Sylphs live. Of all the primals, he's the least aggressive. The only way we'd have to fight him is if somehow we needed to intrude more and more into Sylph territory. That would be enough to enrage him. Ala Mhigo fits perfectly into this scenario since it will be accessed from Larkscall (you can see the road in-game now, it's just blocked off). Ramuh could get angry at the sudden influx of adventurers trying to reclaim Ala Mhigo from the empire, or perhaps the empire purposely rouse his ire as an attempt to impede us from our goal. Either way, I think they will be connected at some point.

I also foresee Gilgamesh being a retelling from the Wandering Minstrel. An 8-armed man fits perfectly with his tendency of "embellishments." :P

Considering that Relic weapons have 2 very specific special encounters as part of their questline, I wouldn't be so quick to count that option out. Chimera and Hydra.

We could see some new monsters trials that are related to the new level of relic weapons, for sure. And it would be awesome if they did that, imo.

Edit: Ah, I didn't see the "solo" part. Hmm, might be possible.. but I don't know. Everything that is soloable is meant to be fairly easy so that everyone can do it in this game.
I wouldn't be opposed to another special 8 man monster trial though.

Ramuh is not really all that different from Good King Moogle Mog in reason for existing. I don't think we'd need any more reason to fight Ramuh other than to stop the future slyphs from being converted into Ramuh's followers.

Yep, I agree. I also hope Gold Saucer isn't in Uldah, but maybe somewhere nearby and can be seen from a distance.

Ramuh and Shiva are the next 2 primals were is am sure we would be fighting Ramuh first as Shiva would take us more into ishgard, So yes I see more chance of Ramuh being the next MAIN primal to fight (they could go a completely different way and add a random one in). Also we might be seeing new class or job shortly maybe not 2.3 but very soon
