I was sitting right across from Uematsu. Was rather funny when the spotlight came on to introduce him and the reaction of ppl around that didn't even realize he slipped in.

I was at the one in pittsburgh 2 years ago and, to be honest, I was kind of disappointed.

Let me elaborate: The music was fantastic. Simply phenomenal. But I expected A LOT more from the visuals. In the back of my crazy FF fan brain, I was hoping for original content. But I was expecting, at least, for the visual content to match what music was being played. It didn't even come close.

I'm also not a huge fan of One Winged Angel, which ended the show. They did do the Maria/Draco opera tho, which was amazing.

Was that part of the special event where they played every single track across 2 concerts in a single day? I went to the earlier show, but couldn't clear my schedule for the evening one.

Best thing about the visuals...you can tell the people who played while recording had no idea what they were doing lol.

Case in point: They played "Memoro de la Ŝtono" from XI (theme of CoP) and showed a clip of the airship fight. The thief used Sneak Attack in front of Omega without using Hide. I shook my head and looked at the guy next to me. All he said was, "Yeah..." and dropped his head lmao

But the music was great!

That would make a lot of sense then. Such a bummer that copyright b.s. gets in the way of quality.

When you met Nobou Uematsu, did you try and eat him to absorb his power?

You have to pay for the VIP ticket in order to meet them. I believe the "meet and greet" takes place before the show. If you have anything you want signed, take it with you!
