Yeah, no. Destiny nor Outlast interest me in the slightest. And I've seen some of those free games, not interested in digital only games. I like having the disks, thank you. No, at present and in the announced future, there are no games I've got an eye for. Well, there IS one game that's got me piqued but no telling when it's coming out. Mirror's Edge (2). Yeah, that's about it. At least, until From announces the next Armored Core or Tenchu.
It's not really fair at all that someone like me, wouldn't have to pay extra with a new PC, but the console people have to, because apparently its a different console. I know that's not the real reason behind the extra charge, but it just seems so ridiculous to me. SE won't have really any issues with the situation, more money. Which maybe will mean more content down the line.
Speaking as someone who has to switch between a good PC and a PS3 several times during the week, if the PS4 is even half as good as my PC, it'll be well worth the purchase just so I don't have to play on PS3 anymore. PS3 doesn't play the game "just as well". It plays it at minimum working order. I'd say $400 is well worth it for a lag-free, input-delay-free, stutter-free experience.
People say that but I've not experienced anything that couldn't be attributed to lan congestion (roommate uses a macbook, well documented for eating bandwidth just by being on). And as for input delay, the recent update really sped up the UI reaction speed. Other than that I've not noticed any input delay beyond the UI, which wasn't that bad to begin with. Still not convinced I need to go out and get a PS4 just for one game that I can already play on my PS3 without any personal hassles.
And mind you, I do have a computer that could play this game at near max settings, I just choose not to because it's easier to play on the PS3.
And I'd wager you'll always fail to see the reasoning. Why would someone settle for the next best thing when the best thing is available? The reasons could be as varied as leaves on a tree. Is it any place of ours to question? No, like how I've only mentioned my reasons for not getting a PS4 and how people's suggestions why it'd be worth it aren't enticing to me, I can't and won't speak for everyone.
Why not say it's easier for me to play on the PS3? Would you rather I lie about my experiences with the two versions? I really do find it easier to play on the PS3, why is that so hard to believe?
Way back when, I started FFXI on PS2, but could go to LAN Centers (remember those?) and log into my account on their machines with FFXI installed.
Later when I moved to playing mostly on PC, i found it easier to bring my PS2 over to friends houses when we did FFXI lan parties.
It makes sense that I need to buy a physical CD for my PS3/4. But that my wife would ALSO have to buy a physical CD to log into her character on the same device is a bit silly...
