Bahamut will most likely be a trial boss for a Future Main Scenario Quest once they finally finish Coil Storyline and move on to introduce a New Endgame Dungeon that will replace Coil.
As of now Coil is a side-story that covers events that will lead to Bahamut's return in the Main Scenario Quest.
Most likely certain dialogues for the Bahamut Arc in Main Scenario will be changed based on if you completed or did not complete Coil Storyline.
I don't get what is going on in this thread
Funny how OP complains about not having a static, yet has found enough time to already complete upgrading a Holy Shield Animus.
I mean, either he got real lucky, or he's making us believe that he couldn't have taken all the time he used for the animus upgrade to gather himself a static.
Either way, complaining about it when the patch hasn't been out for a week... is a bit early, at the very least.
I will at least end this on a positive note and congratulate you on getting the shield. Keep up the good work.
Turn 8 is this boss.

That screenshot on Blue Gartr is turn 9. It was a teaser screencap of Turn 9. Hence why the loot screenshot has a completely different background.
And in other news I am happy Sands of Time are turn 8 onry. (They may drop in turn 9 as well.)
I guessed that this would be the case, seeing the tomestone and it being a T7 drop. Really, really good design this time; SE are basically telling people to do T6 and T7 with i95 weapons (or i100 Animus/Levi EX weapons at best later on) for their first clears and that people can't get i110 weapons/gear (apart from high allagan) before they get to T9, which obviously requires the highest level of gear available. People who are not trying to do the hardest content shouldn't be rewarded the best rewards, either. i100 is still nice and keeps the casuals relevant for everything, but there is more incentive to shoot for that high-end gear now. Nice, nice.
u dont need 110 if u dont raid
Thank SE. Now I gotta rely on skill and team co-ordination to win the fight since I can't be over geared. /sarcasm
Seriously though I think that getting bis 110 gear is going to be slower because not only will you have to need roll against your party but you will also have to but its on lock out so effectively only one person a week will get it. Poor design choice imo. I would rather that everyone get the drop and keep it in turns 7+.
