MOST companies that are competent at all would introduce a simple method to mail in the mean time, since it is such a vital feature. SE seems to consider it low on the list, when it should literally be one of the top. The majority has spoken, as you said, with there being 5 topics at least.

And the real question is which would you rather have a mail system or well defined class roles with a working battle system?

Seconded that a Mail system in today's generation of MMOs is a no-brainer. Having this sort of basic function will really help bring back some credibility (and subscribers!) to the game.

An item mailbox would be helpful of course, and it is inevitable to happen.
I am more interested in a message mail box, I miss my PoL that would hold all my offline messages in a nice pretty place for meh :c

I agree this game needs a mail system. Make chocobo the mail boxes. You right you mail and a chocobo dilivers it to the town where a person gets a choco icon witha kweh! chime to say you got mail. You then go to the chocobo and get your letter.

Oh and have the chocobo theme play when you read mail :)
