Exactly. Ultimately, it's better if everyone is responsible for his or her own enmity management. Yes, there will be times of "oh sh*t" that the tank won't see coming, but when the alternative is "tank sees all enmity levels", that would just promote a mentality of "I don't have to worry about my enmity. A good tank will take care of that." That, in turn, leads to bad play habits and negative DD stereotypes.
